Teshuvah 2017

This update will be a little different as I am sharing something that I didn't get a direct revelation of, but yet was led to and believe I need to help get the word out about.

As I shared in my last update, the Holy Spirit has been moving in my life after Genesis 1:14; so while I have been curious about the upcoming eclipse on August 21st I hadn't received any special insight about it.  That however has changed.

It began about a week ago.  I have been in a dedicated time of seeking the Lord which was set to end soon.  The Holy Spirit spoke to me about extending the time but was at first unclear as to the details.  As I have been seeking clarity this past Friday I came across a particular article on Charisma News and I knew I had my answer.  The link to that article is here. (I suggest you read the article before reading more here.) 

I was especially intrigued because the Pergamon Alter is a subject which has been highlighted to me by the Holy Spirit and I have been waiting to see what happens when the museum re-opens the exhibit--currently set for sometime in 2023. (But that subject is a "rabbit trail" and not the main point here--the Holy Spirit used it to get my attention.) 

​I also went to the website listed in the article; Teshuvah 2017.  The more I read the website, the more I became convinced of the truth in the urgency of the message presented there and the need for a dedicated season of repentance and prayer.  Some might call this a 2 Chronicles 7:14 moment; I certainly do.  The seriousness of this time was highlighted to me as I looked at a map of the path of the upcoming eclipse.  It essentially bisects the lower 48 states of America and to me it means that what we are facing is the potential to have another full blown civil war in America, a dividing of the nation.   

For many years Rick Joyner has prophesied a "civil war" in the Church in America (and other places).  It is my opinion that we are there.  Not only that, but that we are in a de-facto cultural civil war in America that in my opinion has the potential to turn into a shooting war.  I have watched as Lance Wallnau and others have declared President Trump to be the Lord's choice and that he has a Cyrus mandate and anointing.  Again, I have not had a direct revelation on this but at the moment I have no reason to doubt it.  But I would suggest that for the moment that in the short term the election of President Trump has actually made things more dangerous as the "swamp creatures" (and by this I mean the powers and principalities behind certain politicians...Ephesians 6:12) are striking out at God's anointed (person and people).  I think that a direct parallel would be the the time directly after President Abraham Lincoln was elected but before the Confederates fired on Fort Sumter.   

I will end this with a caveat.  I have followed Rick Joyner and Lance Wallnau and observed their ministries for years and so I have a confidence in discussing certain things and perspectives that they have made public.  However, I have literally just been introduced to Ron Allen (the author of the Teshuvah 2017 website) and the associated ministry International Star Bible Society.

So while I do not have the same experience with Ron Allen and his ministry (and Mr. Allen if you read this please forgive my bluntness here), I DO have confidence in the Teshuvah 2017 message.  Why?  Because I have confidence in the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I urge you, please go to the Teshuvah 2017 website and read it all.  Ask the Holy Spirit to confirm it to you.  And Pray for America!  There is a prayer guide on the website; use that or follow however the Holy Spirit leads you, but please pray!

(Revised and restored: see below) America has been used by God to be a blessing to the world; and also has been used by Satan to be a curse.  It is time for America to leave our double-mindedness and either choose our own ways or choose the Lord and His ways. I fully believe that choices we make now as a nation will determine our destiny from now until the Lord returns.  If we choose our own ways I believe America will fall to near total ruin; if we choose the Lord and His ways I believe that it will open the door in Heaven which will release not just revival but a Third Great Awakening and ultimately the Great Harvest which is the end of the age.  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.   

  2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Prophetic Discord

First a word of explanation.  For the first few days after I posted the original word about I began to have concerns that some of the things I wrote were more me than the what the Lord had wanted to say. Specifically the part that I have now restored and revised (see above).  I ended up deleting most of that paragraph; only to receive a confirmation shortly thereafter that the Lord did, in fact, want me to have written that.  I tried to restore it but found that I didn't make a proper backup so I wasn't sure what to do.  I sensed from the Lord that I was to wait, and I did.  In the interim I received a mild rebuke (but a rebuke nonetheless) for 1)posting too quickly what the Lord told showed me; it's better to wait and be sure.  And 2)that I should have waited longer before changing what I originally wrote; like Eve I let the enemy make me question what God had said.  So now I have gotten permission to address that and another, even larger issue concerning this word.

As I sometimes do I was browsing Facebook and I came across something which caused me to question the entirety of the word I had endorsed previously!  A well-known prophetic voice (doesn't matter which) is prophesying that the coming eclipse is not a sign to repent but a sign of coming blessing! The author has said that the 67-mile wide swath of the totality of the eclipse points to Psalm 67.  First thing I did was to inquire of the Lord--and He told me to go read Psalm 67.  I then asked the Lord about the very different perspectives...one a call to repent and the other a coming blessing.

The very first thing I was reminded of was ​1 Corinthians 13:9 "For we know in part and we prophesy in part."  One of the great traps of being used prophetically by the Lord is to forget this.

The next place the Lord took me to was Exodus 8:22-23 "And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be."   Then I felt led to look up the meaning of 'Goshen'. Aside from the proper place name what I found the meaning to be is "drawing near".  At first I thought of the Lord coming to us but then I recalled  James 4:8 "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded"  ​The context certainly fit what I had written earlier.

So what's the takeaway from all this?  Firstly, the 'prophetic process' isn't an exact one, and that it takes humility and waiting on the Lord. From what I know and have been shown the coming eclipse is a sign from the Lord to the American Church (and the Church as a whole really) and to a lesser degree the American people. Why do I say that?  1 Peter 4:17 "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?"  It's a call to repent, cleanse our hearts and minds of unbelief and double-mindedness and to draw near to Him; not any person or institution.  And that in the coming days He will begin to make a distinction between those that will truly draw near to and follow Jesus and those that do in form only (2 Timothy 3:1-9).  For those the who will follow Jesus,  I don't have any problem with the word about Psalm 67 being the result; I pray that it be so! It certainly fits the context of a 'harvest' (v. 6).  For those who won't...Romans 11:22 "Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off."
